Gratitude - Day 37

IMG_1134
I was driving along some two-lane highways in the middle of Delaware farm country today, on my way to meet up with some friends and help them prepare for the upcoming Sweet Adelines regional contest.

As I drove, I was reflecting on how lucky I am.   I've said it before - I'm so grateful for this life that I live now, one where I'm not governed by a paycheck or a schedule, but instead I'm able to follow my dreams.   This is 100% because of my husband's understanding, kindness and yes, his paycheck.

I began to think about what would happen if I lost my husband.
Like my friend lost her mother today.
Like my brother-in-law lost a close friend recently.
Like another friend lost her husband one year ago.
Like so many people, every day.

I can't imagine what I'd do.  I know that my Sweet Adeline community would come together and be a lifeline.  And for that, I'm grateful.

And for my husband, who means everything to me, I'm so very, very grateful.

I love you, bubba!
