Today, I took the afternoon to go shopping for things to decorate the house. I didn't really have anything in particular in mind, I just wanted to find some things to help make the house feel more like home. Here's what I brought home:
The window-pane mirror came from the Goodwill Store. It's a little banged up, a little dirty, and needs a coat of paint. But for $7, it's going to be a great piece for the entry hall that comes in from the garage in the back of our house.
The monogram "H" is made of plywood. My plan is to paint it black, and mount it on some pallet wood that I have in the garage, and add it to the same entry hall wall as the mirror, along with some other things I have in mind, to make a "welcome" gallery wall.
The two birds nests came from different home decor stores. They're both made out of twigs and moss, and will be used to make some springtime vignettes in the house later this spring.
My favorite find of the day is the "running bunny" statue. He's so cute! He's made out of metal, and has a rough, almost rusty texture in a dark bronze color. I think he's going to end up on the mantel in the living room.
There you have it, some of the things that made me smile today. I'm looking forward to getting things put into their places.

Happy Tuesday!
What's making you happy today? Let's share our good feelings across blog-land, and give each other lots to smile about.
There are only a few "rules" for this link party, if we even want to call them that.
- Share something positive and happy. Something that makes you smile. Something that adds positive energy to blogland. That's easy enough, right?
- Please add a link back to this link party from your blog post. You can copy the Happy Tuesday button if you like.
- And then after sharing your Happy Tuesday post, please take a few moments and visit the other Happy Places which have joined the party, leave them some happy comments, to spread the love. Please don't be a "Link and Leave" party goer.
That's it - easy peasy! Thanks for playing along. I'm really looking forward to seeing what's making you smile.
The collection has closed. Let other people know about it through twitter.
I am trying to find the party button to add to my posts??? Can you give me the code? Thanks!!!!
