Taking a quiet moment today to recognize all those men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our country.
As a 24-year federal employee, patriotism and service to my country is something I've always considered to be central to my life. But I've never served in the military, never put my life at risk, and I've never lost a loved one in the service of our country.
I'm grateful for those who have sacrificed themselves for us. Not just on Memorial Day, but every day.
