White, Gold and Green Christmas Tree

I'm excited to share one of our Christmas trees today.  This tree is in the Bonus Room which is a large TV room above our garage.  This is an "extra" tree - Santa will visit a different one in the living room, so this one is just for my own creative enjoyment.  :-)

The basic foundation of this tree is the theme of "white, gold and green".   The main reason for that is that when we decorated other parts of the house, the gold and green decorations didn't really fit anywhere else... so this is basically a "leftover" tree.  But I think it turned out really well despite its humble origins.

The topper is a collection of gold bows, gold and white silk poinsettias, and gold sprays.  The garland on the tree is a length of bridal tulle wrapped and fluffed around the tree.  Gold silk florals repeat down the length of the tree interspersed into the tulle.

The ornaments on this tree are difficult to see from far away.  Most of them are clear glass, or are these brass filigree style of souvenir ornaments.  But these are also some of my very favorite ornaments, so I'm glad to have them all on this one tree together.

This tree is one which needs to be appreciated up close.

The sweet rocking reindeer at the base of the tree adds a whimsical touch (and frankly, I didn't quite know where else to display him so this is where he ended up.  ;-)

For an odds-and-ends tree, I am really happy with how this one turned out.

Thanks for joining me today, I hope you'll take a moment to say hello in the comments.

Would you like to see more of our home this Christmas season?   Here are some other articles from the last few weeks.

  1. So pretty. I have used golds for the last two years. I used to do white and silver, which I also love. Too small of a home to have multiple trees, but I would if I could!!
