Gratitude - Day 363-364 - Dec 29-30, 2014

All our family visitors have gone home. The kitchen has been emptied of sweet treats that were delicious but too tempting for my own good. The laundry is busy washing towels and sheets, and the wrapping paper and glitter and cookie crumbs have been vacuumed up.   The house looks neat again.

It's quiet.  Very quiet.

I'm so very grateful for the last ten days of family visitors.  Christmas isn't really Christmas to me unless my kids are here with some extra family too.   (I know that's a going to be a problem next year, when my son won't be coming home for the holiday, but we'll figure that out next year.)

I've loved having everyone here.   Now that they're all gone, I'm left with memories of our good times together and pictures of their smiling faces.   It's a sweet deal.

I'm so grateful for all of my blessings this holiday season, but most of all, family.

  1. That is exactly how I feel. All my Christmas will stay up til around the 6th. Then I will start to dismantle it. Then I will begin to organize. I always get "the urge to purge" in Jan. Happy New Year!!! Pinky

    1. Yes Pinky, I'm keeping mine up until Monday, because I'm having some more house guests this weekend. Next week I'll put Christmas stuff away, and start purging and organizing, maybe a little tweaking of the home decor, we'll see. Thanks for stopping by - hope you enjoy a wonderful New Year's celebration and hope 2015 is good to you!
