How to Divide Irises
The home we moved into last year was blessed with many large clumps of German Bearded Irises. So many, in fact, that I think there may actually be too many. At least, in comparison to what other types of plants there are here, which is pretty much nothing besides lots of foundation shrubs.

Artwork of Iron & Wood
I found this pretty iron and wood artwork at Michael's last week, and picked it up. I'm a sucker for scrollwork pieces, and I've been looking for some large wall pieces for our new home for quite some time. So when I saw this one for 50% off, I went for it.

Spent a good chunk of today at the neighborhood pool, lounging and relaxing. Not a bad way to spend the afternoon.
Gratitude - Day 154 - June 3, 2014

Last night my husband and I met for dinner in downtown Raleigh for a mini date night. We've decided that Tuesdays are perfect for this, because on Tuesdays he's coming home at dinner time and I'm headed into Raleigh at dinner time. So rather than try to squeeze in a short dinner at home, we'll just meet up in town somewhere for dinner out. It's a chance to try out new restaurants and have a nice meal out on a regular basis. Why this took nine months for us to figure out, I'm not sure.

A Visit to Logan Trading Company
Last week I took the opportunity to go to a new-to-me garden center in the heart of Raleigh, Logan Trading Company. This great center is built on an old train platform and depot, and has lots and lots of wonderful plants and other garden must-haves. I shared it's Wild Bird Center with you a few days ago, so today I'll take you around the rest of the place.
