Gratitude - Day 61

SoH

Still riding high from yesterday's coaching job.

My quartet was hired to be the weekend coaches for a local Sweet Adelines Chorus, the Shades of Harmony.   My girls and I were excited but a bit nervous.  This was the first time we'd been asked to do 10 hours of vocal coaching.  How would it go? Would we be able to hear what needs work?  Would we have solutions to help?  Would we be able to express ourselves in a way that they can understand?  Would we be able to make a difference?

Our preparedness was just right, and our worry was for naught. The weekend went so, so well!  We got into a groove, and we developed a real connection to the chorus singers.  They were so eager and so open to our ideas.   And we surprised ourselves with our ability to get our points across clearly.

The experience was definitely one of those times when we stretched ourselves and learned more than we could have imagined.  We proved to ourselves that we can do this!  And now we have a whole new realm of opportunity open to us as coaches.

What a great weekend.  What a great milestone!

I'm so grateful for this experience.
