We're traveling back home now.  After having been gone one place or another for four weeks in a row, it's good to be pointed toward home.

Thankful today for my sisters.   I have three of them, and throughout our lifetimes we've had highs and lows, and have grown together and apart. In these last three weeks, we've grown closer, and we've worked as a team, and it's been really awesome

The palliative care floor of a major hospital is a strange place to be.   On the one hand, it's designed for comfort and care of patients and should be viewed as a cocoon of security amidst a very trying time.   On the other hand, it's a microcosm of strange family relations, of facing your own perceptions of death, of facing fear and learning what to do with all of these difficult moments.   It can be a very scary place.

On a plane again, back to Tulsa.  Dad had two more strokes today, and is deteriorating quickly. And so I need to go.

Time flies when you're busy.   My gratitude practice hasn't stopped, but the daily posting practice continues to be affected by my travel schedule.

These last days have been such a blur, I've not had an opportunity to update my Gratitude Project posts.   However, I have not at all stopped reflecting on the blessings in my life.   In fact, I have never before been so conscious of all of my blessings, nor have I ever been so grateful for them.
