New Year's Day around here most often is filled with un-decorating and football. And maybe a little Rose Parade thrown in for good measure. And of course the pork and sauerkraut that brings good luck all year long.
We've made it through about 95% of the dismantling, and about 50% of the packing away. With breaks for cleaning, eating, and watching football, I anticipate that it will take both today and tomorrow, off and on, to complete. I hope to be done by dinner time tomorrow night. Until then, these are some of the views we have around our house.
Luckily for us, our daughter took a little break to day to make these...

OOh wow, but i do know what you mean. It takes much longer to put up than to put out.. Have fun and enjoy the cookies.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. I haven't even started. We were enjoying some down time, watching movies, etc. Tomorrow we hope to be more productive.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for being a part of Seasonal Sundays. Happy New Year.

OOh! the cookies should help! Over hear, de-santification has not yet begun. We don't take the tree down until the Epiphany, but this year, I think I will begin by taking everything ELSE down, so that only the tree is left. This is the first time I really could not WAIT to take it all down. By the end of the week, though, it will all be gone, and I will be complaining that it looks too bare without the tree. lol!
